Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo do not squander a single opportunity to pull each other’s legs and they were at it again on Saturday (July 29) after the match between MI New York and Texas Super Kings in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC).
The two teams were up against each other in the Challenger for a place in the final. Incidentally, both Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo missed the clash due to injuries. In Kieron Pollard’s absence, Nicholas Pooran led MI New York to a six-wicket victory.
Asked to bat first, Texas Super Kings were all out for 158 in 20 overs. They lost three wickets for just 34 runs inside the powerplay before a 77-run stand between Devon Conway and Milind Kumar helped them post a challenging total. For the Super Kings, Conway’s 38-run knock was the best effort with the ball. For MI New York, Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 for 24.
In reply, the New York-based outfit chased down the total with one over remaining. MI New York also made a poor start with the bat and were reeling at 74 for 3 in the 11th over before Tim David’s quickfire knock of 33 runs helped them turn things around. Dewald Brevis then played an unbeaten knock of 41 runs to take his team home.
Kieron Pollard taunts Dwayne Bravo
Soon after the game ended, Kieron Pollard decided to have some fun at the expense of Dwayne Bravo. As Bravo approached his former West Indies teammate, the latter couldn’t resist some good-natured teasing. He playfully gestured an airplane with his hand while also making a funny sound to tell Bravo to pack up and go home after the loss.
These two & their banter 😂💙
