This Was For Our Brothers and Sisters In Gaza – Mohammad Rizwan

Following the record-breaking victory against Sri Lanka in Hyderabad, Mohammad Rizwan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to dedicate his century to the “brothers and sisters in Gaza” amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas militant group.

“This was for our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Happy to contribute in the win. Credits to the whole team and especially Abdullah Shafique and Hassan Ali for making it easier.”

“Extremely grateful to the people of Hyderabad for the amazing hospitality and support throughout,” Rizwan tweeted on October 11.

After dedicating his century to the people of Gaza, Rizwan received criticism from some in the cricketing community. An Indian lawyer, Vineet Jain, filed a complaint against Rizwan for offering namaz on the field. Despite the backlash, he has not removed the tweet.
