When we lost 4 wickets in the powerplay, our batting collapsed and that's where we lost the game - Bengal captain after loss
Speaking after the loss in the quarter-final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25, Bengal skipper Sudip Gharami credited Baroda for the way they played. He admitted that losing 4 wickets in the powerplay was the main reason behind their loss. He explained:
"Credit has to be given to Baroda. Last year they were runners-up, they have batted, fielded well. When we lost 4 wickets in the powerplay, our batting collapsed and that's where we lost the game. We learnt from this game that we should not give up and we can come back."
