Siraj and KL Rahul immediately walked up to check on Marsh, showing sportsmanship. The Australian physio quickly entered the field to conduct the mandatory concussion test. Marsh was fit to continue, as the blow caused no serious harm.

Marsh removed his skull protector, smiled, and continued after clearing the medical check. Australia maintained control of the chase after the early dismissal of Travis Head.

India Post 136/9 in 26 Over After Losing Toss

India struggled with the bat in the rain-curtailed first ODI against Australia, managing only 136/9 in 26 overs. KL Rahul scored 38 off 31 balls, while Axar Patel added 31 from 38 deliveries. Nitish Kumar Reddy played a cameo of 19* off 11 balls, featuring two sixes.

Chasing 137, Australia were 94/2 after 15 overs, with Mitchell Marsh (37) and Matthew Short (37) at the crease. The teams will meet again for the second ODI in Adelaide on Thursday, October 23.
