Mohammed Siraj’s disciplined line and length, combined with this aggressive approach, kept the West Indies on the back foot and added a psychological edge to India’s bowling attack.

India crush West Indies, enforce follow-on on Day 3 in Delhi Test
Meanwhile, India continued their domination in the second Test against the West Indies in New Delhi on Day 3. After bundling out the visitors for 248 in their first innings, thanks to a brilliant five-wicket haul from Kuldeep Yadav, India enforced the follow-on.
The West Indies are still 270 runs behind India’s massive total of 518. The morning session started with India quickly taking four wickets for just 35 runs. At lunch, the West Indies were struggling at 217/8, still trailing by 301 runs and needing 102 more to avoid the follow-on.
Kuldeep Yadav struck three times before Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah took two more wickets to leave the visitors in deep trouble. Ravindra Jadeja was the destroyer in chief, dismissing openers John Campbell and Tagenarine Chanderpaul, along with captain Roston Chase earlier.

Kuldeep Yadav shine with the ball against West Indies
Kuldeep took the final wicket to restrict the West Indies side to 248 runs. Earlier, India’s top order had delivered big scores, with Shubman Gill scoring another century and Yashasvi Jaiswal following up his Day 1 century with 175 before being run out after a mix-up.
Contributions from Nitish Reddy (43) and Dhruv Jurel (44) helped India declare at 518/5, putting the West Indies on the back foot. Batting in the second innings, West Indies yet again failed to get going as Mohammed Siraj struck again, dismissing Tagenarine Chanderpaul for 10 with a short delivery just outside off stump.
Chanderpaul tried to pull the ball but mistimed it, sending a high lob toward mid-on. Shubman Gill reacted brilliantly, running back, diving, and taking a tumbling catch to ensure Chanderpaul’s departure. Later, Washington Sundar dismissed Alick Athanaze for 7 just before the tea break.
Sundar angled the ball in, drawing Athanaze forward, and it sharply passed the outside edge to crash into the off-stump. Athanaze was left bewildered as he walked back for just 7 runs.
