Mohammed Siraj Suffers Shoulder Injury In Guwahati Test
PC: X

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj suffered a freak injury while fielding in the final session of Day 4's play. South African batters scored runs fluently, and Siraj, who had misjudged a ball travelling off to the fence, injured his shoulder when he dove to save it.

South Africa has never dominated a team in his fashion in the history of the WTC, as they did against India in the ongoing Test series. They have also never dominated India like this in the subcontinent in the longest format of the game. From bowlers to batters, every Proteas player has troubled the Indians.

South Africa comes from a drawn series against Pakistan at their home and is expecting to finish the India series with a win; the question remains whether it will be a clean sweep or not.

Mohammed Siraj injures his shoulder during a diving effort

South Africa has completely removed India from the game, with the lead surpassing 540. The only thing India can do from here is think of a draw, with only the final day's play left. However, Indian fielders, at least some of them, have made some dire efforts on the field.

When Tristan Stubbs swept and clubbed Nitish Kumar Reddy towards the square leg boundary, Siraj could not judge the ball and ended up getting late on the ball. He had to ultimately dive to stop the ball from going into the fence; though he successfully did it, he dropped very badly on his elbow.

He was immediately seen clutching his shoulder and was taken aside for some medical attention by the physios. This happened in the 76th over.
