Mohammed Siraj likely to be recalled for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj is a key member of the Indian cricket team. He was recently part of India’s Test tour of Australia, where he was in good form, taking 20 wickets, but India failed to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Later, Siraj was dropped from India’s ODI series.
Siraj was not selected in India’s squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but he is the frontrunner to replace Jasprit Bumrah, as the premier pacer is uncertain for the prestigious tournament due to his back issue. If Bumrah fails to recover in time, Siraj will reportedly then travel to Dubai with the Men in Blue for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The right-arm pacer has so far represented India in 36 Tests, 44 ODIs, and 16 T20Is and scalped 100, 71, and 14 wickets, respectively. Siraj was also part of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup-winning team.
