Multiple blockbuster trade deals have already taken place ahead of the players' auction for the IPL 2027 season. All ten franchises are reportedly active in the off-season market to reshape their squads. Amid the trade deals, an update has emerged on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mohsin Khan.
Multiple franchises are reportedly interested in a trade deal for Mohsin Khan ahead of the IPL 2027 season. As per the latest reports, at least two franchises are heavily interested in the LSG pacer.
Multiple interests for Mohsin Khan ahead of IPL 2027
Since his debut in the Indian Premier League in 2022, Mohsin has looked promising. In the presence of well-known fast bowlers like Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, Mayank Yadav, and Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan made his presence felt in the previous season for the Lucknow Super Giants. In only 7 matches and as many innings, the left-arm seamer took 11 wickets for an average economy rate of 8.14. He was looking far better in comparison to his last two seasons.
At the moment when the pacer was picking up his form, injury halted his momentum again. Throughout Mohsin's career, injury-and fitness-related issues troubled him on multiple occasions.
Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals are interested in Mohsin Khan
Will the franchise like to take another bet on the talented but injury-prone bowler? The question remains as LSG ended the last season on a poor note despite having a good squad. They have already traded out their most valuable cricketer and skipper, Rishabh Pant, to the Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2027 players' auction, and there will be no surprise if they consider a few more big names worth releasing.
According to the latest reports, Mohsin himself is not very interested in leaving the Lucknow Super Giants. Rohit Juglan, a RevSportz journalist, claims in his 'X' post that, as of now, Mohsin is not leaving LSG despite interest from the Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings.

Should LSG keep Mohsin Khan?
Lucknow kept the 28-year-old for the 2026 season for a price tag of INR 4 crore. Since making his debut in the league, Mohsin has remained a part of the franchise. So far, the fast bowler has claimed 38 wickets in 30 innings and 31 matches for the team, while his average economy rate was 8.41.
The economy rate, which is well below nine, looks in good shape because of his two out of four seasons. In his first season with LSG, Mohsin Khan took 14 wickets in nine matches and as many innings; so far, the best in his IPL career. The following two seasons were two close to his best as he conceded 10.70 and 10.13 economy rates in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, respectively, taking only 13 wickets in 14 innings in two seasons.
