Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has provided a long-term solution to save Pakistan Cricket after the debacle in the ICC Champions 2025. He suggested that instead of changing the players and coaches, the Chairman of the PCB should be changed.

Pakistan National Cricket Team had a horrible campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as despite being the host, they were the first team to be eliminated from the tournament. The Mohammad Rizwan-led side looked torrid throughout with the bat as well as the ball.

Pakistan started their campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with a loss against the New Zealand

The hosts started their campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with a loss against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. The hosts were at the receiving end of a 60-run defeat at the National Stadium in Karachi as they first gave away 320 runs and then got all out for 260 runs.

It was expected that they would come up with some fight in the next game against India National Cricket Team. But it turned out to be an even worse performance for them as they got all out for just 241 runs with only one batter in the team managing a half-century.

With the ball, the hosts struggled to put pressure. India batters in Virat Kohli, who slammed a ton, Shreyas Iyer, who hit a fifty, and Shubman Gill, who hit 46, put pressure on the opposition and helped the team chase the target with ease and more than 6 overs to spare.

Pakistan ended the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 without a single win and finished last on the points table in Group A

Two back-to-back defeats in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 meant that the Mohammad Rizwan-led side were eliminated after New Zealand's win over Bangladesh. From their group, it were India and the Kiwis, who advanced to the next stage.

Their last league game against Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 got washed out due to rain. The game was scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Thursday but rain gods had other plans.

The Mohammad Rizwan-led ended the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 without a single win and finished last on the points table in Group A. With the hosts failing to set the stage on fire, a lot of former cricketers criticized the entire team and called for the sacking of some players.

Why not to have a foreign Chairman? - Mohammad Hafeez's solution to save Pakistan cricket

Amid all this, Mohammad Hafeez has come up with a solution. He said that people often talk about bringing in foreign coaches for the team as a solution. But why can't they have a foreign chairman, taking a dig at Mohsin Naqvi.

"For the solution, we talked about management and players. People often say that they want foreign coaches. We think they will perform better than everyone else. Why not to have a foreign Chairman?"," he said.
