Former Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque smashed a century during the first innings of the ongoing second and final Test against Team India. Mominul Haque broke multiple records following his impressive century on the fourth day of the match at Green Park in Kanpur on Monday, September 30.
The 33-year-old showcased his class and reached the three-figure mark during the first session of Day 4 in Kanpur. The left-handed batter reached the milestone during the 66th over off Ravichandran Ashwin. He played a well-executed sweep shot off Ashwin's bowling before starting his celebration.

Mominul became the second Bangladeshi cricketer to score a Test century on Indian soil. Mushfiqur Rahim previously scored 127 in 2017 in Hyderabad.

The 33-year-old became the sixth Bangladeshi cricketer to score a Test century against India. He joined the list of Mohammad Ashraful (158*), Tamim Iqbal (151), Aminul Islam (145), and Zakir Hasan (100). Notably, Mushfiqur Rahim is the only Bangladeshi player with two Test centuries against India.
