Former India National Cricket Team player Yograj Singh exposed the brutal truth behind how MS Dhoni destroyed the career of Yuvraj Singh. He said that he would never forgive keeper-batter because his son could've played for another 5-6 years for the team.
Yuvraj Singh was one of the main reasons behind India winning the T20 World Cup 2007 and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, where was was Man of the Tournament, for his stupendous effort with the bat and ball. He played the tournament with chest cancer and gave his best for the team, helping the team win the World Cup after 28 years.
However, after that Yuvraj Singh couldn't get a permanent spot in the Indian team. He was in and out of the team, which was captained by Dhoni. Yuvraj missed the Champions Trophy 2013 along with the ICC World Cup 2015. But then was back in the team for Champions Trophy 2017, which was his last tournament for the team.
Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh has often blamed Dhoni for the downfall in his son's career. He has been very vocal in the media, lashing out at the keeper-batter. This time around, he didn't shy away from firing shots at MS Dhoni for the same.
Yograj Singh said that Dhoni should look at his face in the mirror. He said that the keeper-batter is such a big cricketer but hasn't done anything good with Yuvraj Singh. Speaking to Zee Switch YouTube channel.
"I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror."
Yograj further said,"He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life.
"I have never done two things in life - first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids."
That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son - Yograj Singh
Yograj Singh further said that MS Dhoni destroyed the life of Yuvraj Singh. He stressed that even players like Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag rated his son as the biggest match-winner of the India National Cricket Team. He elaborated:
"That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won't be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country."
Yuvraj represented India in 402 international games from 2000-2017, scoring 11,178 runs. He slammed 17 centuries and 71 fifties across formats and finished his career as one of India's all-time greats.
