Vaibhav Suryavanshi Got Chances in RR Playing XI After Skipper Sanju Samson’s Injury

Vaibhav Suryavanshi made the most of his opportunity to open for the Rajasthan Royals after skipper Sanju Samson was sidelined with an injury. The left-handed batter showed aggression in his first two matches of the IPL 2025 season.

His memorable performance came against the Gujarat Titans on April 28. The 14-year-old left-hander smashed his century in just 35 deliveries, impressing the crowd with his fearless strokeplay.

Notably, he reached his half-century off just 17 balls — the fastest in IPL 2025. The batter brought up his century with a towering six off Rashid Khan over deep mid-wicket. Head coach Rahul Dravid, despite nursing an injury, stood without his crutches to applaud the youngster alongside his teammates.
