BCCI has successfully managed to conduct IPL 2021 matches so far. However, the rising Covid-19 situation has affected few players. Recently, Delhi Capitals’ spinner Ravichandran Ashwin withdrew from the tournament in order to support his family during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ahead of the tournament, Axar Patel and Devdutt Padikkal were tested positive for Covid-19. Both the players had to skip a few opening matches of their respective franchises.

Australian players like Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa, and Kane Richardson left IPL 2021 midway and returned back to their home country Australia. While Adam Zampa feared being locked out of his home country, Zampa and Richardson left the tournament citing personal reasons.
