Mukesh Kumar has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. The right-arm pacer played for Delhi Capitals in the last season of the IPL.
He made his debut in the IPL in 2023. In his first season, Mukesh played 10 games and picked up 7 wickets. In 2023, he also made his debut for Team India in all three formats.
After gaining international experience, Mukesh did well in IPL 2024. While Delhi Capitals missed out on the playoffs, Mukesh managed to make an impact with the ball. In 10 games, the Bengal pacer picked up 17 wickets.
In international cricket, he has played 3 Tests, 6 ODIs, and 17 T20Is so far. Overall, Mukesh has played 65 T20s and has picked up 71 wickets.

Delhi Capitals have signed up Mukesh Kumar for INR 8 crore by using the RTM option at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Chennai Super Kings made the opening bid before Punjab Kings joined the race. Both the teams were involved in a bidding war as they made it clear that they wanted the India pacer. The Super Kings then pulled out when Punjab Kings raised the bid to INR 6.50 crore.
With Delhi Capitals using the RTM option, Punjab Kings raised the bid to 8 crore. Delhi decided to match the bid and retained the fast-bowler.
