The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has found itself at the center of a storm, with Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen making explosive claims about the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) lack of commitment to the league. Sending shockwaves to the cricket world, Ali Tareen claimed that the PCB is not fully supporting the PSL, treating it more as a burden than an asset.
Despite reaping financial benefits from the Pakistan Super League, the Pakistan Cricket Board sees their own domestic franchise league as an entity controlled by franchises rather than a shared cricketing venture, according to the Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen. Tareen noted that there are snakes in the whole PSL.

Multan Sultans' owner further claimed that internal politics and ego clashes within the PCB are hindering the PSL’s growth. He further revealed that decision-making is influenced by personal agendas rather than merit. He has openly claimed that the PCB doesn't really care about the PSL, leaving everything to the "snakes".
Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen said on Relukattay’s YouTube channel: “PCB has the least control, even though they have complete control, but the least control they have is over the PSL. There are franchises and others involved. They are fed up with this. They want us to do what we want. We do what we want. And this whole thing of the PCB, who is focusing on domestic leagues, domestic players, and people are employed in PCB year-round.”
They have monetary benefits from PSL, but the egos of the snakes are at stake: Ali Tareen
Tareen further noted, “PSL runs for a month in a year, so they don't care about PSL. PCB doesn't feel PSL is ours. They feel these are franchises. They get TV time. They get benefits. We are not getting any benefit. So, they don't care. They have monetary benefit from PSL, but the egos of the snakes are at stake. If you bring people on merit, they will get benefits. They will think logically. There are snakes in the whole PSL. They are making decisions.”

Meanwhile, Multan Sultans owner also shockingly blamed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for ruining Ihsanullah’s career. Ali Tareen claimed that Ihsanullah’s surgery was done by a friend of one of the PCB board officials, leaving a lot of scarring that can never be removed.
Ihsanullah suffered an elbow injury during a white-ball series against New Zealand in April 2023. The right-arm fast bowler, who is also known as the Matta Express, is one of Pakistan's fastest bowlers, but he is still recovering from the surgery, and there is no update about his fitness and comeback yet.

Ali Tareen blames PCB for ruining Ihsanullah’s career
Ali Tareen has revealed a heartbreaking update about Ihsanullah, saying the Multan Sultans pacer’s career as a 150 KPH bowler is all but over due to complications from a previous surgery. Despite expert intervention, the damage is irreparable, leaving the bowler unable to straighten his arm fully.
Tareen pointed fingers at the PCB, blaming their handling of Ihsanullah's situation for this tragic outcome. He signed off by saying, “I’m very sad for Ihsanullah. He recently met with the expert. And he said, ‘I can do the surgery, but no matter what I do, there's so much from his previous surgery.
"No matter what I do. and he will never be able to bowl in the same way because he doesn't have a straight arm’. Thanks to the PCB, Ihsanullah’s arm will never become perfectly straight. So, it's so unfortunate. It's a very unfortunate story, but that's what it is. Ihasanullah can never be a 150KPH bowler again.”
