Lucknow Super Giants ( LSG) will be up against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 16th match of IPL 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on April 4.

LSG will be featuring in their first match of IPL 2025 at their home ground in Lucknow and will look to continue the winning momentum that the team has earned after their first win of the season over Sunrisers Hyderabad

As far as the Mumbai Indians are concerned, the former IPL champion also registered their first win in a convincing manner over KKR at the Wankhede stadium and would hope to build on the same by delivering another match-winning performance against the LSG.

It would be interesting to see how the pitch at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium behaves during the first match of the season.

Rickelton, on the other hand would like to continue the form he gained against KKR and would hope to put on a strong show in the Lucknow vs Mumbai clash on Friday encounter to cement his position in the team. The South African batter is known for his power hitting in various leagues

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Tilak Varma, Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Naman Dhir, Hardik Pandya (c), Mitchell Santner

MI would want their middle order to play with an attacking approach in the middle overs, with Suryakumar Yadav taking charge along with Will Jacks, Tilak, and Hardik Pandya putting the pressure on LSG in the process

As far as Hardik the batter is concerned, the righter would be itching to get a knock in the middle and will expect top-order batters along with Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav to lay a good platform for Hardik to accelerate.

As far as MI's fast bowling is concerned, the Hardik Pandya-led side did a fine job in the mega auction by picking up Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult as their new ball bowlers, both of whom were unplayable in the first six overs against KKR in the team's previous match against KKR.

The duo will be supported by Ashwani Kumar, who picked up four wickets on his IPL debut against KKR and has been the talk of the town because of his ability to rush the batters with pace.
