Young Mumbai batter Musheer Khan is all set to be included in the India A setup after his heroics in the first round of the Duleep Trophy 2024. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that the right-hander will be traveling to Australia with the A team for the three 'four-day' Tests against Australia A.

Musheer Khan in the last few days has been among the most talked about names in Indian cricket. This is because the young batter came up with a gigantic effort with the bat in the first round of the Duleep Trophy 2024 while playing for India B in the game against India A.

Musheer Khan's effort came under a high-pressure situation. He came up with a solid performance when his team lost 7 wickets under just 100 runs. The 19-year-old soaked in all the pressure and slammed a glorious century that put his team in the winning position.

Musheer Khan ended with an innings of 181 runs off 373 balls. The right-hander slammed 16 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. His impressive knock powered his team to a total of 321 runs and then eventually helped them win the game by 76 runs and gain the important 6 points.

Musheer also registered the third-highest score as a teenager in the Ranji Trophy. He now has the third-highest score by a teenager in the Duleep Trophy 2024. Baba Indrajith stays at the top with his 212 runs while Yash Dhull is second on the list with a 193-run knock under his belt.

Musheer, who scored a double hundred in the Ranji quarter-final and a century in the final, is almost certain in the Indian A squad for the Australia tour. The reports claimed that the squad would be selected based on the Duleep Trophy performances and the Irani Cup match between the Rest of India and Ranji champions Mumbai.

The batter added over 100 runs in partnership with the fast bowler in the Duleep Trophy 2024 and took the Team to over 300 runs.

Reports also claimed that along with Musheer, Rajasthan left-arm spinner Manav Suthar also impressed the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee. BCCI is looking at him as Axar Patel's understudy and will put him regularly in the A team.

The selection committee believes once Ravindra Jadeja calls time on his career, Manav Suthar can become the second left-arm orthodox bowler in the team. He is also expected to board the flight along with India A team that will be playing three four-day games down under.
