Bangladesh National Cricket Team fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has received a massive boost ahead of the upcoming The Hundred 2026, which is set to get underway on July 21.

Mustafizur Rahman set to create history in The Hundred 2026
On Sunday, July 4, Mustafizur Rahman got official permission from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play the full season of The Hundred 2026 in England.
With the BCB issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from July 20 to August 20, Mustafizur Rahman will be available for Birmingham Phoenix for their entire campaign in the upcoming The Hundred 2026.
Birmingham Phoenix signed Mustafizur Rahman during The Hundred 2026 player draft. The franchise picked the senior Bangladesh fast bowler at his base price of GBP 100,000 (approx. INR 1.28 crore).
When Mustafizur Rahman takes the field for Birmingham Phoenix, he will become the first Bangladeshi player to play in England’s 100-ball tournament – The Hundred.
A BCB official was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz: "We have granted him NOC for one month for The Hundred." Amid this, India tour of Bangladesh 2026 set to receive approval.
Parvez Hossain Emon gets NOC for Global Super League
Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s young batter Parvez Hossain Emon has also been granted the NOC by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to take part in the Global Super League later this month.
Before leaving for the tournament in Guyana, Emon will first play in Bangladesh's upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. These T20I matches are scheduled in Bulawayo on July 15, 17, and 19. After finishing the Zimbabwe series, Emon will be seen in action in the Global Super League.
Emon will play for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars in the tournament. He had already represented the same team in the PSL previously.
Hasan Mahmud set for Vitality T20 Blast before Australia tour
On the other hand, Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud was also cleared to play in the ongoing Vitality T20 Blast. Kent Spitfires have confirmed that Hasan will play in their final three group-stage matches of the Vitality T20 Blast in England.
Hasan has already made a strong impression for Kent in the County Championship this summer. He played two matches and picked up 12 wickets. His best performance came against Lancashire at Blackpool, where he took six wickets for 69 runs and helped Kent win the match.
After finishing his Vitality Blast matches, Hasan is expected to return to Bangladesh duty for the two-match Test series against Australia in August. He is likely to travel back to England to play four more County Championship matches for Kent if he is selected after the Australia tour.
Mahmudullah Riyad begins new journey as Bangladesh 'A' batting coach
Meanwhile, former Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad is set to begin his coaching career as the batting coach of the Bangladesh 'A' team.
After earlier working as a mentor with the Bangladesh Under-19 side, he will now take on a full coaching role during Bangladesh 'A's upcoming Australia tour for the Top End T20 Series. It will be their third straight appearance in the series.
A BCB official was quoted as saying by Daily Sun, “Riyad will travel with the A team to Australia as batting coach, while Sohel Islam will serve as head coach." Imrul will be the assistant coach on that tour. Since he is currently based in Australia, he will join the team there.”
