"My aggression was a problem, now my calmness is a problem" - Virat Kohli burns haters

India's star cricketer Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive behavior on the field. Kohli has also been criticized several times for showing too much aggression during a game about over the course of his career.
However, he has been relatively calm in the last few years. Virat Kohli has aimed to be more focused with a calm head at the crease which has often helped him to play crucial knocks. Recently during an RCB event, he opened up about his transition of behavior and how the people react to it.
During the same conversation, the 36-year-old also shed light on dealing with the outside pressure as the spotlight is always upon him to perform. He spoke about the Border-Gavaskar Trophy concluded earlier this year where he had a disappointing run.

Virat Kohli breaks silence on his ultra-aggressive behavior
Kohli attended an event at the RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit. During the event, he revealed that it became problematic when he was aggressive and now that he is calm, people aren't satisfied.
"I don't know what to do to be honest. My aggression was a problem, now my calmness is a problem. It's like, I have no idea what needs to be done. That's why I don't focus on it," Kohli said at the event.

Kohli arrived at the international arena as a batter who liked to be at the face of the bowlers every time. He was involved in a no. of on-field instances with the opposition cricketers and didn't shy away from saying back a few words to them.
However, he has seen a lot in his international career so far and has found a way to be more calm. He looks more focused on his work now which has also helped him perform in big games.
"It's just about acceptance" - Kohli on dealing with pressure
When asked about dealing with outside pressure, Virat Kohli was clear in his approach that he doesn't think about people saying things from outside. He also shared his throughts on his dismal performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
The veteran batter initially felt that he will have a good series after the hundred in the first Test at Perth. However, he didn't make any significant impact after that knock. Kohli wants to be honest with himself and accepts that he didn't perform to the expectations.
"Once you start thinking of the disappointment from the outside, then you start burdening yourself way more. That's something that I've surely experienced in Australia as well. Because I got a good score in the first Test. I thought, right, let's go," he said in the same event.
"There's going to be another big series for me. It didn't turn out that way. How do you cope up with this? For me, it's just about acceptance. This is what happened. I'm going to be honest with myself," mentioned Kohli.

Virat Kohli's CT 2025 campaign
After a poor outing in the Test series against Australia, Kohli had a good Champions Trophy campaign where he played a pivotal role in India's title win. He emerged as India's second-highest run-scorer of the tournament with 218 runs in five matches at an average of 54.50.
Kohli played two valuable knocks during the tournament against Pakistan and Australia respectively. He scored a brilliant hundred against Pakistan to help India defeat their arch-rivals comfortably in the end.
Afterwards, he scored a magnificnent 84 in the semi-final against Australia to take India to the final. Kohli will be next seen playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the upcoming IPL season.
