Najam Sethi All Set To Replace Ramiz Raja As Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman - Reports

Pakistan Cricket Team is going through a bit of turmoil at the moment. The Men in Green failed to win the crunch moments against mighty England in the first 2 Test matches. Due to this, they are virtually out of the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final race.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has been receiving a lot of criticism for the pitches. At the same time, we should not forget that Ramiz Raja has brought Cricket back to Pakistan and under his tenure from nowhere, Pakistan reached to the finals of the T20 World Cup 2022.

Najam Sethi Likely To Be PCB Chairman

According to Geo News, Najam Sethi is the strong candidate to replace Ramiz Raja as the new chairman. “PCB’s constitution of 2014 should be restored. After its restoration, departmental sports will be revived,”  a source said. If this is to be believed then we can expect a revamped staff member too of the national team.

Najam Sethi earlier had worked for a 3-year term from 2014-2017. Ramiz Raja has brushed all these sources as false and has made it clear that he is not leaving the post till his tenure ends. It would be interesting to see how things unfold for Pakistan.
