The Shreyas Iyer-led team is in Lucknow for the bilateral series after freshly returning from Japan, winning the Gold medals at the 2026 Asian Games. For workload management reasons and to push the emerging players in the format, the Indian team management made a few changes before the beginning of the series.

Jasprit Bumrah, Washington Sundar, Vipraj Nigam and Yash Thakur are not with the T20I team, while Naman Dhir, Nitish Reddy, Kuldeep Yadav, Prince Yadav and Mayank Yadav have been named as the fresh additions to the T20I squad.
