Navdeep Saini abuses fan for questioning KKR’s poor IPL 2026 campaign

Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Navdeep Saini hurled abuses at a fan after his insulting remarks on the KKR players left the Delhi star infuriated. However, a cricketer's angry outburst using unparliamentary words against a fan has not been accepted well by the other fans on social media.
The Kolkata Knight Riders have seemingly struggled to satisfy their fans in this season of the IPL as well. The Kolkata Knight Riders are being led by their captain, Ajinkya Rahane, from the previous edition of the competition; however, he has lost double the number of games he actually won with the Knights.
Kolkata worked on revamping their squad after a dismal finish to 2025, as a result of which they strengthened their squad. Though the batting still looks promising, the bowling deck looks fascinatingly weak in the absence of Harshit Rana, Matheesha Pathirana, and Mustafizur Rahman.
Navdeep Saini abuses a fan on social media on behalf of the KKR camp
Navdeep Saini, the out-of-favour Indian pacer, has played for India on former occasions, alongside playing in the IPL for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Rajasthan Royals. Saini went unsold in the mini-auction and was picked as Harshit Rana's replacement by the Knight Riders.
After two consecutive losses in the season, one of the KKR fans commented on Instagram, where the fan looked disappointed with the team's performance and made a strong remark against the players.
Navdeep Saini responded to him on the social media platform and thrashed him with an abusive reply. His lines somewhat meant for the fan to mind his own business and not to pass judgmental remarks on the team.
"On field mein khel toh nhi pa rahe ho of field mein enjoy karlo 2 month aur ghr chle jao," wrote the fan on Instagram. To this, the KKR bowler should be the real roughness of a Delhi guy, as he responded saying, "to teri kyun g...d me dard ho rha h."

KKR might opt for Navdeep Saini instead of Kartik Tyagi from game 3
Kolkata have struggled with the ball. In the first game, the batters managed to put on a massive score of 220 runs in front of the Mumbai Indians, but the five-time champions chased it with ease, with 6 wickets remaining.
In the next game, they once again gave away 226 runs against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the KKR bowlers were thrashed with the new ball. Navdeep Saini could just be the man to step up with his experience during this phase for the Knight Riders.
He has formerly played in the IPL and is a promising player domestically. He could replace young Kartik Tyagi, who has been used mostly as the impact seamer in the side by Abhishek Nayar and co.
KKR fans are disappointed with their team's poor show
The Kolkata Knight Riders fans cannot be blamed for their outbursts against their team, as the Knight Riders have struggled continuously this season, still hunting for their opening win of the season, after having played two matches, including one at their home ground in the Eden Gardens.
KKR have picked many big names like Finn Allen, Tim Seifert, Cameron Green, Rovman Powell and Rachin Ravindra, but despite all that, they have not been able to use the best of players in the XI, as a result of which the same team that scored 220 in the first game struggled to chase a 227 run target in the very next game and lost the game by a humiliating margin of 65 runs.
KKR's next match will be against former runners-up and unbeaten Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens. Former skipper Shreyas Iyer will return to the City of Joy, but once again as an opposition skipper.
