Nepal T20 League: Chadwick Walton, Lalit Rajbanshi Star To Power Janakpur Royals To Stunning Win

Extending their winning start in the ongoing Nepal T20, Janakpur Royals, on Monday (December 26), beat Biratnagar Super Kings in a thrilling game.
Both teams locked horns against each other in the second game of the day. In the first game, Far West United defeated Kathmandu Knights to open their account.

The Royals beat the Super Kings by 5 wickets to register their second win of the competition. On the other hand, the Super Kings remain winless in the tournament after playing two games.
Janakpur Royals chase:
Chasing 141, the Royals needed 16 runs in the final over with Chadwick Walton and Mohammad Aadil Alam up against Pakistan’s Hussain Talat. Walton faced all six deliveries in the over and ensured to take his team home in a thrilling manner.
He welcomed Talat with a four before conceding a dot. It was followed by a six and another dot. With 6 runs needed from the last 2 balls, Walton smashed a four on the fifth ball before taking the required two runs on the final ball to win the game.

Walton remained unbeaten on 69 off 55 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes. Earlier in the chase, Royals found themselves in deep trouble after losing three wickets in quick succession.
Opener Sagar Pun was the first to depart when the score was only 9 runs. It was followed by a 33-run stand between Walton and Trevon Griffith before the collapse took place. Griffith, Sundeep Jora and Rajesh Julami departed in space of 3 runs to leave their team reeling at 45 for 4 from 42 for 1.
But before the Super Kings could make further inroads in the game, Walton and Sharafuddin Ashraf steadied the ship by adding 62 runs for the fifth wicket. Walton then remained till the end and shared an unbeaten stand with Alam to take his team home.
Biratnagar Super Kings innings:
Earlier in the game, Lalit Rajbanshi wreaked havoc with the ball and picked up the first five-wicket haul of the ongoing Nepal T20 League. The left-arm spinner picked up 5 wickets for just 8 runs as the Royals bowled out the Super Kings for a modest 140.

Zimbabwe star Sikandar Raza top-scored for his side, smashing 38 from just 18 balls while Rohit Paudel (32) and Hussain Talat (28) also played handy knocks.
