New Zealand will be up against Australia in the third of the three-match T20I series. This article provides details about New Zealand's Playing 11 vs Australia for the third match of the series.

New Zealand Playing XI vs Australia- 3rd T20I, Australia Tour of New Zealand 2025:

Openers: Devon Conway, Tim Seifert (wk)

The BlackCaps are in desperate need of a win in the final T20I against Australia, as it is the team's only chance of leveling the series after the second T20I of the three-match series ended in a no result.

New Zealand, who were outplayed in the first T20I, which the visitors won comfortably, would want to make a strong comeback in the third match.

The captain and the team management would want the batters to take more responsibility than they did in the opening match of the series, especially in the first couple of overs, having lost three wickets for not many runs.

The opening pair of Devon Conway and Tim Seifert would wish to give the team a solid start in the first six overs.

Having said that, both batters would like to ensure that they give themselves a few overs and play according to the merit of the ball rather than taking the aggressive route from the first ball.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Tim Robinson, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Bevon Jecobs, Michael Bracewell (c), Zakary Foulkes, Kyle Jamieson

Like the openers, the middle order batters, except Tim Robinson and Daryl Mitchell, would want to get things back on track after failing to make a significant contribution in the first match.

However, credit has to be given for the way Robinson and Mitchell steadied the ship after New Zealand got off to the worst possible start while batting first in the first outing.

The duo added close to 100 runs for the fourth wicket, which helped the Kiwis post a competitive total of 181 runs, with Robinson scoring a century.

Regardless of the depth in the batting lineup of the home it is the top five batters that will have to score the majority of the runs for the team against an in-form Australian bowling lineup.

Bowlers: Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry

Kiwis would also hope for a better show from the bowlers if they have to restrict the opposition to a chaseable total while bowling first.

The captain would bank on experienced fast bowlers Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson to provide early breakthroughs for New Zealand, with Jacob Duffy and Zakary Foulkes giving them good support

The spin bowling department of the Kiwis will be taken care of by their captain for this particular series, Michael Bracewell, who expects the pacers to do their job to the best of their abilities before he takes the ball.

Despite being the only specialist spinner in the playing XI, as is being predicted, Bracewell might not have a vital role to play with the ball, as there might not be a lot of help for the spinners on the surface.

Meaning that the captain will have to do the job of holding one end up in the middle overs.
