University Oval (Dunedin) will host this T20I match between New Zealand and Australia. It will be the first T20I match at this venue. In this calendar year, University Oval (Dunedin) has already hosted three domestic T20 matches. Out of those recent three T20s at this venue, the first batting teams won twice and the chasing team managed one victory. The successful defending scores in those T20 matches were 223 and 191. So, the first batting team has to manage a big total to win the upcoming T20I match.

Slow bowlers, especially the spinners are very useful at this venue.
