Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened up about his record-breaking century during the IPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Titans (GT). The 14-year-old batter stated that he felt no pressure and just focused on the ball during his innings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday, April 28.

"No, no fear. What I've been practising for the last three to four months, the result is showing. I don't see the ground so much, just focus on the ball. I'm not thinking about all that, I am just focusing on playing," Vaibhav said.

Vaibhav hit Rashid Khan for a six over deep mid-wicket to reach his century. Rahul Dravid, who was in a wheelchair, stood up to applaud the achievement. The crowd at Sawai Mansingh Stadium gave the young batter a standing ovation. He raised his bat in appreciation of the overwhelming support.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi thanks Yashasvi Jaiswal

Vaibhav was delighted after scoring his maiden IPL century in just his third match. He also thanked Yashasvi Jaiswal after his historical knock and revealed how Jaiswal keeps guiding him throughout.

"Batting with Jaiswal is good, he tells me what to do, and he infuses positive things. It has been a dream to get a 100 in the IPL, and today it materialised. There is no fear. I don't think much, I just focus on playing," Suryavanshi stated.

Rajasthan Royals signed Vaibhav for Rs 1.1 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction. The team did not succumb to the temptation to fast-track him into the team. Vaibhav spent time training with the squad before being allowed to play.

However, his knock came to an end in the 12th over, when Prasidh Krishna dismissed him with a yorker. By that point, the Rajasthan Royals only needed 44 runs from 49 balls. RR chased down the target of 210 in just 15.5 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 70 off 40 balls, including nine boundaries and two sixes.
