"No Hope From Your Near & Dear," Chetan Sharma Posts A Cryptic Tweet After His Sting Operation

Former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chetan Sharma posted a cryptic tweet months after his string operation. He highlighted that his life is tough and he has no hopes for his near and dear ones. 

Chetan Sharma was in hot soup after a new channel conducted his sting operation. The former Indian pacer made some eye-opening revelations that shook the Indian cricketer fraternity. Not only this he also opened up about inside talks of the team.

Following that sting operation, he resigned from the post of a chief selector. Chetan Sharma notably was reappointed with the new panel after BCCI sacked all the selectors post the T20 World Cup 2022. After his revelation, he ghosted himself and didn’t appear in front of the media.

However, on Thursday (18th May), he posted a tweet that made many to wonder. Taking to his official Twitter account, he said sought blessings from God and said that life has been very tough for him.

Chetan Sharma talks about the controversy between Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly 

During the sting operation, Chetan Sharma opened up about the rift between Virat Kohli and then BCCI president Sourav Ganguly. He revealed that the right-hander was going against the governing body.

He said: “When the player becomes popular, he considers himself to be bigger than the Board and thinks that nobody can touch him. He feels that cricket in India would stop without him. But has that ever happened?

“Some of our biggest cricketing stars came and went but cricket remained the same. So, he tried to hit back at the president at that time. It was a damaging controversy. It was a classic case of a player going against the BCCI. The president represents the BCCI, isn’t it?.” 

Notably, controversy between Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly erupted after the latter announced that he will step down from the T20I captaincy and then was sacked from the ODI leadership as well. The batter then openly said that he was removed without any conversation.
