No Idea Exactly What's Happening – Virat Kohli On Reports Of Rahul Dravid Becoming India's Head Coach

The all-format captain of the India National Cricket Team Virat Kohli said he has no idea about Rahul Dravid becoming the next Head Coach of India after the tenure of current Head Coach Ravi Shastri ends.

Ravi Shastri’s tenure as a Head Coach of the Indian team is expected to end after the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 and several big names have shown interest in becoming the next India Coach.

According to the latest reports, it has been told that legendary batsman Rahul Dravid is set to take over the Head Coach responsibilities of Team India after the T20 World Cup 2021. It has been told that Rahul Dravid was initially reluctant to accept the offer by BCCI but later he agreed.

No Detailed Discussion With Anyone Yet– Virat Kohli

The India captain Virat Kohli during the Captain’s media session organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) ahead of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 said there has been no detailed discussion about Dravid’s appointment as India Coach. He asserted:

No idea exactly what’s happening on that front. No detailed discussion with anyone yet,” Kohli said when asked about Dravid’s appointment

Meanwhile, legendary batsman Rahul Dravid has been a part of the coaching setup for India A and U-19 teams for the past six years and he has groomed several big names in cricket like Rishabh Pant, Avesh Khan, Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari, and Shubman Gill.

Currently, Dravid leads the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Also recently he went to Dubai to have a brief discussion with his former teammate and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

Talking about India’s journey in T20 World Cup 2021. The Virat Kohli-led India National Cricket Team is placed in the Group 2 of the tournament alongside the Pakistan National Cricket Team, Afghanistan National Cricket Team and New Zealand National Cricket Team.

India will commence their T20 World Cup 2021 campaign with a battle against arch-rivals Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team on October 24 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
