No Indian players have been included in the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Nominees for July. However, two English players have been included in the list after their stunning performance in the Ashes 2023.

The 25-year-old English batsman, Zak Crawley has been nominated after his stunning performance in the Ashes 2023.

The youngster continued to flourish for England and already booked his spot in the top order. Crawley played a stupendous knock of 189 runs against Australia at Old Trafford.

Following his prolific performance in the prestigious Ashes series between England and Australia, Zak Crawley has been included in the Men’s Player of the Month nominees for July by the cricket apex body, International Cricket Council (ICC).

ICC Reveals Men’s Player Of The Month Nominees For July

The 34-year-old English bowling all-rounder, Chris Woakes was named the Player of the Series against Australia after his consistent performances.

Woakes made a mark in the third Test match at Headingley when he needed to play some big shots to win the match, and helped his side to clinch a three-wicket win in the third Test match of the Ashes 2023.

In the third Test, Woakes dismissed Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne in the 20th over on the first morning and later took Travis Head and Mitchell March’s wickets which helped the hosts to hold the Aussies at 263 runs.

In Australia’s second innings, Chris Woakes bagged three wickets and restricted Pat Cummins’ side to 224 and played a match-winning knock of 32 runs along with Mark Wood, who was also present on the crease. Chris Woakes’ extraordinary performance helped him to get a spot in the Men’s Player of the Month nominees for July.

Meanwhile, Bas de Leede played a crucial role in the Netherlands World Cup qualification journey and made his name in international cricket. The 23-year-old is the third player on Men’s player of the Month nominees for July.

The youngster played a magnificent knock when the Dutch side locked horns against Scotland and managed to take a five-wicket haul and made 123 runs for the Netherlands.

Leede’s extraordinary innings helped the squad book their tickets for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India. With his special knock against Scotland, Bas de Leede wrote his name in the elite list along with Viv Richards, Paul Collingwood, Rohan Mustafa, and Amelia Kerr and became the fifth player in the history of 50-over cricket to take a five-wicket and score an ODI century in the same innings.
