Rohit Sharma has turned heads with his sharpness on the field during the ongoing second ODI between India and the West Indies in Guwahati. Amir Jangoo tried to steal more runs off Naman Dhir’s delivery, but his mistimed shot almost turned into a catch.
Jangoo stepped out and went for a big slog, but the ball went high towards deep mid-wicket. There was no fielder exactly under it, giving Jangoo a chance to get more runs. The moment came during Naman Dhir’s over when Amir Jangoo stepped out and attempted a big slog. However, he failed to time the ball properly and sent it high towards deep mid-wicket. And then fans got to see a brilliant fielding effort from Rohit Sharma.
The ball went high into the air, but there was no fielder stationed exactly under it at deep mid-wicket. Rohit quickly ran towards his right and reached the ball just in time. He then made a diving effort and flicked the ball into the field, and saved the ball from going for four.
Jangoo and his partner managed to take only one run from the shot, as they did not expect Rohit to stop the ball so quickly. Shubman Gill was mighty impressed with Rohit's efforts.
