Krunal Pandya’s all-round brilliance powers Bengaluru to the top after crushing Delhi
Speaking about the DC vs RCB match, Krunal Pandya delivered a superb performance with both bat and ball to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru climb to the top of the IPL 2025 points table.
On a tricky, slow pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, RCB outplayed Delhi Capitals in every department.
RCB started strongly after opting to bowl first and kept Delhi Capitals under pressure right from the start of the match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood led the attack with the ball, taking five wickets together.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru spinners Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya squeezed the runs in the middle overs, making it very hard for DC to build any momentum.
Delhi could post only 162 for 8 at the end of their 20 overs on the board. However, the target looked modest, but chasing was not that easy because of the difficult pitch and Delhi's strong bowling attack.
RCB’s innings got off to a shaky start, as they quickly stumbled to 26 for 3 within just four overs. And that’s when Krunal Pandya stepped up.

Krunal Pandya joined hands with Virat Kohli and stitched a massive 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Virat Kohli, who has been consistent throughout the season, hit his sixth half-century and his fourth while chasing, while Krunal played a memorable knock of 73* off 47 balls.
Kohli eventually got out for 51 off 47 balls, leaving RCB needing only 18 runs off 13 balls. And then Tim David came in and finished the job with some quick boundaries, taking RCB home with nine balls to spare against the DC at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
