Pakistan National Cricket Team batter Saud Shakeel achieved a massive feat in the history of Test cricket for the team. He became the joint-fastest batter from his country to score 1000 runs in the longest format of the game, equalling Saeed Ahmed in the feat.

Shakeel achieved the feat in his 20th innings while playing for the Pakistan National Cricket Team. The batter went past 1000 runs in the longest format of the game in the ongoing game against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The match between the teams is taking place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Saud Shakeel has been one the consistent batters for the Pakistan National Cricket Team ever since he made his debut for the team. The left-hander in the ongoing game against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team has been sensational as he bailed the team out of trouble when they lost early wickets.

Saud Shakeel came to bat when Pakistan were left reeling at 16/3. The vice-captain of the team, along with young Saim Ayub, soaked in all the pressure and made sure that he backed the team out of trouble. The left-hander eased into the innings and then ensured he got crucial runs for his team.

Saud Shakeel, in the ongoing match, has slammed a terrific half-century and is going strong. With the way he is batting, he looks all set for a big innings. He added 98 runs with Saim Ayub (56) and made sure that he took his team past 100 runs without any further wickets in the game

Shakeel not only had 1000 runs for the Pakistan National Cricket Team in Tests, but he also equaled the 65-year-old record of Saeed Ahmed. The former batter of the team became the fastest to achieve the feat in 1959. He achieved the feat in the third game of the series against the Australia National Cricket Team.

Coming into the game, Shakeel was just 33 runs behind the 1000 runs in Test cricket. The batter looked extremely solid on Day 1 of the game as he ended with an unbeaten 57 runs off 92 balls. He also slammed 5 fours in his innings and would be looking to add more to his tally on Day 2.

Shakeel is one of the best batters for the Pakistan National Cricket Team. He made his debut for the team in December 2022 against the England National Cricket Team and has not looked back since then, scoring runs consistently for the team.

Saud Shakeel is one of the few batters who have scored a half-century in each of his first seven Tests, surpassing legends like Sunil Gavaskar and Basil Butcher. In his short career so far, he has also slammed a double century when he registered 208 not out at Galle, the highest score by a Pakistani in Sri Lanka.
