His Australian teammate Mitchell Starc was the most expensive buy with a sum of 24.75 crores from KKR. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad might consider Pat Cummins as the captain of the franchise for the IPL 2024. Pat Cummins had a terrific year in 2023 as he led Australia to the World Test Championship and ODI World Cup title.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been with the Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2014 and he is one of their most experienced players. He has been serving as the vice-captain of the franchise for a long time and has led the team in many games. In the 2023 season, he was leading Sunrisers Hyderabad when Aiden Markram was unavailable for the first few games.
