The IPL 2025 auction will be a piece of sad news for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they have a very strong squad. Led by Pat Cummins in IPL 2024, SRH reached the final but eventually lost to Kolkata Knight Riders and ended as runners-up.

However, it was a big comeback for the franchise, which finished in the last spot in the IPL 2023 season. Their journey was exciting to watch out for as they also broke the record for the highest-ever team total twice.

Unfortunately, Sunrisers Hyderabad now has to part away with many of their amazing players due to the IPL 2025 auction. Below we discuss 3 such players that SRH can release ahead of the next auction.

3. Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad a few seasons ago. He was part of Punjab Kings earlier and also led the side in one season. However, he has highly struggled with his stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad team.

The right-handed batsman played just 4 games in IPL 2024 and could only score 64 runs in total with a top knock of a mere 32. SRH also has two powerful openers now with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head and they don't need Agarwal who also plays as an opener. Hence, they can release him from the squad.

2. Jaydev Unadkat

Jaydev Unadkat is another player on this list. The left-arm seamer is a big name in domestic cricket and has also played a few games for India. He is a bowling all-rounder. However, Unadkat could not impress with his bowling show last season.

He played a total of 11 games and could only get 8 wickets. He was also expensive at his economy rate of 10.23. Hence, the franchise can release Unadkat from their squad.

1. Marco Jansen

Marco Jansen is the third player on this list. Jansen is a powerful South African pacer who is a seam all-rounder. He can get wickets with his left-arm lethal pace and also smack big boundaries in the lower order.

However, he struggled with his form in IPL 2024. The left-arm pacer played 3 games and picked just 1 wicket at a high economy of 12.90. He added 18 runs in 2 innings and the team benched him for most of the tournament. Hence, Sunrisers Hyderabad can part ways with him ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
