Not Virat Kohli or Faf du Plessis! Harbhajan Singh names RCB's superhero in the victory over CSK

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has claimed that Yash Dayal was the true superhero for RCB during their sensational win over CSK last night.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru welcomed reigning champions Chennai Super Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium for their final league game. Playoffs qualification was at stake as CSK needed only a point or a thin margin loss to qualify while the situation was much more tougher for the RCB.
Faf du Plessis' side needed to win the match before the 18th over and they had to stop Chennai from reaching 200 since they were bowling 2nd. Yash Dayal, who went for a total of 42 runs last night from his 4 overs, proved to be the difference maker with his performance at the back end and he ended up becoming a match-winner for the RCB.
What did Harbhajan Singh say about Yash Dayal?
While speaking to Star Sports after RCB successfully defeated CSK by 27 runs, Harbhajan Singh was all praise for Yash Dayal. Everyone knows the kind of situation Dayal went through in IPL 2023 as he had become the subject of massive trolling after he was smacked 5 sixes in a row by KKR's Rinku Singh.
That particular episode was literally shattering for the then 25-year-old and if he is able to play cricket still, then he definitely has a lot of courage. But credits should also be directed towards RCB for their decision to splash 5 Crores for Yash Dayal when almost everyone had thought that he was a finished product.
The RCB management picked him up and Yash Dayal has only missed one match since then. From 13 matches, Dayal has picked up 15 wickets, that too, at a very decent economy rate of 8.94.
Why Harbhajan Singh thinks that he was the superstar for RCB in the win despite the knocks from Kohli, du Plessis, and Patidar is because Yash Dayal had picked up two important wickets.
He had first removed the dangerous Daryl Mitchell before claiming the wicket of in-form former CSK captain MS Dhoni when he was in a serious mood to finish the game.
Harbhajan stated that Yash Dayal's reluctance to leak even a single run after taking Dhoni's wicket was a massive game-changer and that was the moment when RCB won.
"Kohli and Faf did well to not lose wickets at the time when the ball was spinning a lot just after the rain. This is a win I can't describe. I think Rajat Patidar changed the game with his knock. Cameron Green was in red-hot form. Yash Dayal became the superhero, after taking Dhoni's wicket he just conceded one run in four balls which was incredible," he said via Star Sports.
Elsewhere in the bowling line-up, Maxwell had figures of 1/25, Mohammed Siraj had a 1/35 spell with Dayal claiming 2/41. Swapnil Singh had leaked 13 runs off his two overs, and Karn Sharma didn't bowl his second over after conceding 14 in his first. Lockie Ferguson was also given 3 overs where he conceded 39 while Cameron Green had figures of 1/18 from 2 overs.
