The five-match T20I series between New Zealand and Pakistan will begin on Sunday (March 16). The series--opener is scheduled to be played at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
New Zealand will be led by Michael Bracewell in the series as captain Mitchell Santner and several other players will be busy with the IPL. From the squad that finished runners-up in the Champions Trophy earlier this month, only seven players have been named in the New Zealand squad for the T20I series.
Bracewell is not new to leading New Zealand although he has led the side in only one series in the past. Incidentally, it was the away T20I series against Pakistan last year when most of New Zealand's first-choice players were playing in the IPL.
Pakistan have a new T20I captain as well. With Mohammad Rizwan dropped from the T20I side, Salman Agha has been named as his replacement. Agha had previously led Pakistan against Zimbabwe last year where he led the side to a 2-1 series victory and will be eyeing a similar performance against New Zealand as well.
With both the teams gearing up for the first T20I, we are taking a look at the head-to-head record in the shortest format of the game.
