India bowling all-rounder, Jayant Yadav is no more a bachelor as he has tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Disha Chawla. The news of the marriage of the couple was revealed by none other than Yadav’s Haryana teammate and revered leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal.

The RCB leg-spinner took to Twitter to congratulate the couple and their families as both the newlywed embark on a new stage of their lives. Chahal posted a photo of the marriage and captioned it, “Congratulations Jayant & Disha.”

The 31-year-old has played for India in 4 Test matches and a solitary ODI. He made his ODI debut in October 2016 against New Zealand and picked 1 wicket in it. A month later, in the home Test series against England, he was given his maiden Test cap.

Jayant Yadav had a promising start to his Test career – he picked 4 wickets in his first Test match and 4 more in the second Test along with his maiden fifty. The right-hander then notched his maiden Test ton at the Wankhede against the same opposition.

Unfortunately, he then couldn’t find a place in the Indian team for a year and played only one more Test after that – against Australia in February 2017 – before being dropped and never to be picked again as Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin continue to be India’s first-choice spinner followed by the emergence of Kuldeep Yadav.

Jayant Yadav will be seen in action in the IPL 2021 as he is been retained by Mumbai Indians.

While the off-spinner was only selected in the eleven for just two matches last season, he was given the nod ahead of Rahul Chahar in the final against Delhi Capitals; Yadav repaid the faith by picking up an important wicket of Shikhar Dhawan.

Recently, he participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Haryana picking up 7 wickets in 6 matches at a decent economy.
