Former England cricketer Nick Compton took a jibe at Virat Kohli and management for not including Ravichandran Ashwin in the playing XI of Kennington Oval, London Test against England.

Notably, Ravichandran Ashwin who is unarguably one of the greatest spinners in the world currently, missed out on back-to-back 4 Test matches against England. The main reason behind this is the new template of Virat Kohli and management. According to the new template of the Indian team, they select four pacers and a sole spinner in the team.

Meanwhile, India has got a variety of Pacers and two big names in the spin department are Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Many consider Ravichandran Ashwin as a better bowler however Ravindra Jadeja has been given chance in playing XI in all 4 Test games. Many cricket pundits believe this decision by management has been taken considering the batting skills of Ravindra Jadeja. Although Jadeja has done a good job with the bat, however, he has failed to impress with his bowling abilities.

With the continuous failure of Ravindra Jadeja with the ball and the pitch at Kennington Oval, London in the 4th match assisting spinners, many fans took to Twitter to bash Indian management for not including Ravichandran Ashwin in the playing. Notably, spinners were getting a lot of assistance which led to Moeen Ali getting 2 scalps and skipper Joe Root getting one.

Taking a jibe at Virat Kohli former England cricketer Nick Compton took to Twitter to express that the 4th Test match will be drawn. However, if Ashwin was in playing XI things could have been different. He wrote:

“Can’t see this being anything other than a draw! India’s bowling apart from Bumrah will struggle. If only Ashwin was playing… oh Kohli it’s good to have independent thinkers in your team”

Talking about the match India posted an amazing target of 368 for England to chase with the help of exceptional innings of Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shardul Thakur, Rishabh Pant and even tailenders did an amazing job.
