Star Pakistan opening batter Imam-ul-Haq has expressed his hunger for achieving a glorious century in the upcoming matches of the ICC World Cup 2023. Imam revealed his determination to convert his half-centuries into big scores in the ongoing tournament.
Imam-ul-Haq has scored 133 runs in four World Cup matches at an average of 33.25 and a strike rate of 95. The left-handed batter scored 36 runs off 38 balls against India in the third match, followed by 70 runs off 71 deliveries against Australia in the most recent match.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Imam stated that he is setting his sights on a special milestone against Afghanistan in Chennai.
“I have been scoring many 60’s 70’s in recent past but I am fully focused on converting them to a triple figures now,” Imam-ul-Haq told reporters.
The Babar Azam-led team will take on Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan in their next match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday, October 23. The Men in Green registered a clean sweep against Afghanistan in the ODI series before the Asia Cup 2023.

Imam expressed his confidence in his batting abilities, emphasizing that Pakistan have a remarkable winning record when he performs well.
“Pakistan has won more than 90% matches whenever I have played a good innings. We have sit together and had a long discussion. You will see a new Pakistan Cricket Team in Chennai,” he further added.
The Men in Green kicked off their World Cup campaign with two consecutive victories against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in Hyderabad. However, the Pakistan team suffered setbacks, registering back-to-back defeats against India and Australia, respectively.
