During Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), a hilarious moment was captured on camera. During the first ball of the seventh over Pakistan’s first innings, the cameraman shifted the focus of the camera towards the big screen wherein a couple was sitting.
The couple was shocked when the focus of the camera shifted towards them and also the crowd applauded the moment.

Shifting the focus to the second Test match between Australia and Pakistan, the Australian team put up a score of 318 runs during its first innings courtesy of a 63-run knock from Marnus Labuschagne. Openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja also chipped in with 38 and 42 runs respectively.
Apart from contributions from Marnus Labuschagne, Usman Khawaja, and David Warner, Mitchell Marsh also scored 41 runs which included six fours and one six. Pakistani pacer Aamer Jamal was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors and picked up a three-wicket haul.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mir Hamza, and Hasan Ali picked up two wickets a piece and restricted Australia to 318. Pakistan came up with yet another flop batting display in their first innings as they were wrapped up 264 runs by the Australian bowlers.
Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood slammed half-centuries and scored 62 and 54 runs respectively. Big names such as Imam ul-Haq and Babar Azam yet again failed to deliver and were only able to score 10 and 1 run.
Mohammad Rizwan showed some intent and played a knock of 42 runs but at last, was bundled by the Australian bowlers. Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon shared nine wickets between them whereas one wicket went to left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc.
Pakistani pacers displayed a bit of fightback when they reduced Australia to 16/4 wherein top names such as Usman Khawaja, David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, and Travis Head were back in the dressing room in single digits.
Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh took Australia out of trouble and added 153 runs for the fifth wicket. Marsh departed for 96 runs whereas Smith was able to complete his half-century. At Stumps on Day 3, Australia finished at 187/6 and currently leads by 241 runs.
The Pakistani team had to face a 360-run defeat against the hosts in the first Test match of the series which was played in Perth. The Pakistani team is once again on the same path and it will be very difficult for them to chase down anything over 300 runs against the lethal Australian pace attack.
The World Test Champions on the other hand will want to set up a huge target for the visitors in the second innings and then wrap them up quickly to register yet another win.
Pakistan’s major concern has been the form of top players such as Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Both these players have not been able to perform in the last few months and their performance is very important if Pakistan wants to do well in the future.
