The 29-year-old Pakistan National Cricket Team express pacer Haris Rauf bamboozled the 22-year-old Bangladesh National Cricket Team batter Towhid Hridoy in the first Super 4 game of the Asia Cup 2023 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Wednesday, September 6.

Rauf once again looked dangerous with the ball and he started off his spell by dismissing opener Mohammad Naim for 20 in the 8th over. He returned to bowl in the 10th over of the innings and on the very first ball he knocked over Towhid Hridoy. The 22-year-old failed miserably with the bat as he scored just 2 runs off 9 balls, before walking back to the hut.

Rauf bowled a 145kph thunderbolt to Hridoy which was on fullish length and the batter looked to clip it away but was beaten by the pace. The ball went past his inside edge and shattered the stumps to leave Bangladesh tottering at 47/4.

Pace-bowling great Waqar Younis and Rauf completed 50 wickets in 27 games while Saqlain Mushtaq achieved the milestone in 28 matches.
