Pakistan and England go head to head in the PAK vs ENG second T20I in Edgbaston, Birmingham on Saturday. The match starts at 7 pm IST on Saturday, May 25.

The first PAK vs ENG T20I was abandoned due to rain. Thus the next three games become a straight shootout for the two teams. The team who wins two out of the three games wins the series. Pakistan and England were the finalists of the T20 World Cup 2022 with England ultimately winning the title.

Pakistan is led by Babar Azam. Newly appointed PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi reinstated Babar as the Pakistan captain after Shaheen Afridi's horror stint as the T20I captain. He lost series against England and New Zealand in the meantime. The PCB would hope for Babar to lead his team well in the T20 World Cup.

England is led by Jos Buttler. He and the rest of the players who participated in the IPL returned back for the series against Pakistan. The England skipper in the pre-match press conference ahead of the first T20I said that there should be no international cricket during the IPL.

Pakistan is among the major teams not to have named their T20 World Cup squad yet. The cut-off date for the same is May 25 and Pakistan needs to announce their squad by then. The squad is likely to resemble the same squad named for this series.

Heading into this series, England are third in the T20I rankings while Pakistan are placed seventh. Beating England in their own backyard will be a challenge for Pakistan who are not renowned to play well away from home in bilaterals.
