Pakistan are hoping for a consolation victory in the third and final test of a three-match series, which started on Saturday, December 17 at the National Stadium in Karachi. The Men in Green were defeated by 74 and 26 runs in their first two matches in Rawalpindi and Multan, respectively. England took an unassailable 2-0 lead, clinching the series with one match to spare. It was their first Test series win on Pakistani soil since 2000.
Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali announced his retirement on Friday, and the Karachi Test will be his last. The tourists made two changes from the last test, with Rehan Ahmed and Ben Foakes replacing James Anderson and Will Jacks in the playing XI. Rehan became the youngest player to make his England debut, beating Brian Close’s record of 18 years and 149 days in 1949.

Watch: Saqlain Mushtaq Stuns Babar Azam With Superb Delivery In The Nets
On the eve of the third Test against England in Karachi, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who has blown hot and cold in the first two Tests, took to the nets to fine-tune his preparations. Head coach Saqlain Mushtaq decided to roll his arms and delivered a peach of a delivery that knocked over Babar.
The 45-year-old angled the delivery towards the off-stump line as Babar looked to play a reverse lap shot, but the ball turned in sharply and went underneath the swinging bat to rattle the stumps. Babar was left stunned to see how it all panned out and stared back at Saqlain before resuming his practice again.
