Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Shadab Khan had a decent outing with bat and ball in the game between Panthers and Dolphins in the Champions Cup. The third game of the tournament between the teams took place at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Saturday (14th September).

Shadab Khan, who is captaining the Panthers in the ongoing Champions Cup, came up with a superlative effort for his team against the Dolphins. He turned up big time for his team and helped them register a massive win over the opposition and gather important points early in the tournament.

Shadab Khan, who mostly is known for his calm nature, also lost his calm during the game. This happened when the leg-spinner went on to take the wicket of Dolphins opener Muhammad Hurraira, who looked in decent touch and was batting with complete control.

Chasing the target of 328 runs, Muhammad Hurraira and Sahibzada Farhan took the Dolphins off to a flying start. With the way they were batting, it seemed that they would take the game away from the opposition. But Panthers skipper Shadab Khan brought his team back into the game.

Shadab, in the 13th over of the innings, bowled a tossed-up delivery to which Muhammad Hurraira came down the track. The right-hander attempted to hit the ball out of the park but didn't get the proper connection and was caught in the deep by Mohammad Hasnain.

But what caught the attention of many was the reaction of Shadab after he removed Muhammad Hurraira. The leg-spinner got extremely pumped up as he gave an aggressive send-off to the batter and was right at his face.

This was because Muhammad Hurraira took Shadab to the cleaners early in the innings. The right-hander hit the bowlers for two boundaries and then attempted another. But the Panthers captain got his revenge for his perfection and removed the opening batter to bring his team back into the game.

Muhammad Hurraira ended up with an innings of 39 runs off 29 balls. He looked in good control and also slammed 3 boundaries and 3 sixes in his innings. The right-hander also added 68 runs for the opening partnership with Sahibzada Farhan, who scored 52 runs.

Shadab Khan picked one wicket in the game and gave away 60 runs. But his best came with the bat as he played a magnificent innings for his team. The skipper ended with the knock of 65 runs off 45 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. His vital hand powered the Panthers to a total of 328 runs.

With the ball, Mohammad Hasnain then picked up five wickets while Usama Mir and Mubashir Khan chipped with two wickets each. The Panthers bundled out the Dolphins for 278 runs and won the game by a margin of 50 runs.
