PAK vs ENG: "We Will Be Pushing For Results. If We Get Outplayed, That's Okay"- Brendon McCullum

England Cricket Team is all set to play a Test Series in Pakistan after 17 years. The 1st Test Match is scheduled for 01st December. This is Brendon McCullum’s first assignment away from home (England) as his attacking approach would be tested as the pitches would be spin friendly.

Pakistan would be delighted to see that slowly teams are coming into their homeland. The Men in Green would be well aware of the fact that they have to win the Test Series to stake a claim in World Test Championship 2021-23. They currently are placed in the 3rd position with a percentile of 75.

Brendon McCullum on Series

Head Coach Brendon McCullum was seen attending the press conference and was asked about the tour. “To win away from home is the greatest accomplishment you can achieve as a Test player and as a Test side. We understand the size of the challenge in front of us. But that’s great – that’s why you want to play the game. You don’t want easy challenges, you want to take on the best in their own conditions and you want to try and test where you’re at as a side.” said Brendon McCullum.

“I’m really excited. I don’t know if we’re going to win the series. I can almost guarantee when the skipper comes in here in 48 hours time he’ll say there’ll be no draws in the series. We’ll certainly be pushing for results because we see it as our obligation to try and ensure that people walk away entertained. And if we get beat, Pakistan, we know, will have played well. I expect us to play well and if we get outplayed, that’s okay too. “ he added.

Stern Test For Pakistan

The Men in Green will have to at their best as England would look to spoil the party, just the same way they did of New Zealand, India & South Africa. Pakistan would rely on their spinners to deceive the batters.

Skipper Ben Stokes would be keen to make an impact with the bat. The flamboyant all-rounder has been magnificent in leadership as he has stood behind his bowlers. It would be interesting to see how the series unfolds as we can expect riveting action.
