Shahid Afridi, a former Pakistani player, believes that Babar Azam, the captain, doesn’t involve seniors in their planning or strategy.
He claimed that the captain seeks guidance from outsiders, which was one of the factors in the hosts’ defeat to England in the Test series.

Shahid Afridi said on Samaa TV, “Leadership is all about uniting everyone.” It implies that you should consult with seniors about your intentions. When you start taking counsel from strangers and don’t involve seniors, problems arise.”
Babar, who scored four and one points in the second innings of the first two Tests against England, respectively, was repeatedly unsuccessful, but Afridi still supported him. But in the first innings of the tests at Rawalpindi and Multan, the right-hander scored 136 and 75 runs, respectively.

“Such things have happened in our time as well.” If we don’t value our players, the rest of the world will. Without a question, Babar Azam is the team’s backbone. In the series, his performance isn’t too horrible.”
“You’ve already lost the Test series”: Shahid Afridi
Shahid Afridi criticized Mohammad Yusuf further for ignoring his query over Mohammad Rizwan’s performance in the Multan Test. Sarfaraz Ahmed, a specialist hitter, should replace the wicketkeeper-batter, in his opinion. Pakistan should also, in his opinion, incorporate Shan Masood into its lineup.

“Yusuf’s domain is batting coach. Rizwan should not be benched, but rather rested. You’ve already lost the Test series. The third Test will take place in Karachi. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shan Masood, in my opinion, should be given chances” Shahid Afridi remarked.
Babar Azam and company will next play the Karachi Test, which begins on Saturday, December 17. The hosts will be hoping for a consolation victory in the third Test.
