Pakistan senior left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi became the reason behind the removal of an Afghanistan national during their 2nd T20I against Ireland.
This incident occurred at the Clontarf Cricket Stadium in Dublin wherein Pakistan brought the series on level terms after losing the 1st T20I. While Pakistan's victory made all the headlines, Shaheen Afridi's confrontation with the Afghanistan-based supporter also fell under the spotlight. But regardless of it, Babar Azam's side will be happy to have won the game in convincing fashion.
Why was the Afghan fan removed from the Clontarf stadium on Shaheen Afridi's orders?
The Afghan fan had reportedly said something to Shaheen Afridi which the Pakistani seamer did not like at all. Amid the heated competition between Pakistan and Ireland, Afridi was expecting to get support from the small crowd in the stadium. However, upon coming across those derogatory comments which were undisclosed, the seamer was not at all happy.
Shaheen Afridi was on his way towards the middle in Dublin from the dressing room when the Afghanistani fan chirped some words against him. In the video, which is now going viral, Shaheen can be seen heading towards the crowd and asking that particular fan what was he trying to say.
When Shaheen Afridi approached towards the crowd, everyone there was shouting for an autograph but the bowler's confrontation silenced the crowd. A few young fans who were there in the crowd at that time wanted to get a signature from the former Pakistan captain but the latter had something else on his mind.
Shaheen Afridi went directly to the fan and confronted him in a heated turn of events. The bowler was looking seemingly frustrated as his facial expressions said it all. A security personnel, who was there at that time, took Shaheen away from the situation and asked him to carry on to the field.
The security personnel then went past the barrier to address the issue before taking the fan away from the Clontarf stadium. All of the people that were present there had a blank facial reaction due to that ugly incident. The time frame of the incident was not confirmed but it is being said that it happened during the 1st innings break.
Ireland, on the back of Lorcan Tucket's half-century, Harry Tector, Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, and Gareth Delany's quick-fire knocks, had posted a target of 194 on the board.

Shaheen Afridi registered 300 international wickets before the dispute with fan
Meanwhile, before Shaheen Afridi got into that argument with the fan, he became the latest bowler to register 300 wickets in international cricket. He achieved this record after claiming the wicket of Irish opening batter Andrew Balbirnie for 16 off 14. He had also removed Balbirnie's opening pair - Ireland skipper Paul Stirling for just 11 off 7.
If we talk about Shaheen Afridi's record in the shortest format, then he has collected 85 wickets from 63 appearances. In the longest format, Shaheen has 113 scalps from 29 matches, and in ODI cricket, he has 104 wickets in total.
