Every now and then, the Pakistan players become the laughing stock for their poor fielding and the latest player to commit a howler on the field is none other than Shaheen Afridi.
The Pakistan pace spearhead made a bizarre mistake on the field that cost his team four runs. The incident took place in the third T20I against Ireland in Dublin. It was the 12th over of the Ireland innings when Imad Wasim was bowling to Lorcan Tucker and Shaheen Afridi was fielding at long-off.
Wasim bowled a flighted delivery outside the off stump and Tucker chipped it towards long-off. The ball landed well in front of Shaheen Afridi and was coming at him at a good height. It should have been a straightforward save for the former Pakistan T20I captain. However, Shaheen Afridi ended up overrunning towards his right and the ball ran away to the boundary.
