PAK vs NED: Ghante Ka King! Babar Azam Gets Trolled Badly On Twitter After His Failure Against Netherlands

Fans on X weren’t kind to Pakistan skipper Babar Azam after he bagged a low score against Netherlands in the ongoing second game of the ICC World Cup 2023. The game is currently taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where the Dutch side won the toss and opted to field. 

Pakistan didn’t have a great start with the bat as they looked scratchy against the Netherlands, who bowled exceptionally well. Fakhar Zaman (12) lost his wicket early and it was expected that skipper Babar Azam would take the onus to himself and steady the innings. 

However, this wasn’t the case as Babar Azam didn’t look settled at the crease. The Netherlands bowlers, in particular spinners, troubled him and put pressure on him. The pressure got better off him in the ongoing game and the Pakistan skipper ended up losing his wicket early. 

Babar Azam perished in the 9th over to Colin Ackermann, who bowled a quicker delivery that was short on the stumps. The Pakistan captain tried to slog the ball towards the leg side but couldn’t connect properly. He ended up playing a mistimed shot and gave a catch to short mid-wicket. 

Babar Azam didn’t have a great start to his ICC World Cup 2023 campaign as he managed just 5 runs off 18 balls. After his wicket, Pakistan lost Imam-ul-Haq as well and Pakistan were left tottering at 38/3. The onus will now be on other batters to bail their team out of trouble.
