PAK vs NED: Watch - Iftikhar Ahmed Rattles Colin Ackermann's Stumps As The Batter Plays Awful Shot

The 32-year-old Netherlands National Cricket Team batsman Colin Ackermann was cleaned up by the 33-year-old Pakistan National Cricket Team part-timer Iftikhar Ahmed in the second match of the ICC Men???s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Friday, October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Chasing the 287-run target in the match against Pakistan, Netherlands opener Max O???Dowd and Vikramjit Singh batted cautiously and added 28 runs for the first wicket. Then, Ackermann joined Vikramjit Singh in the middle and together they played confident cricket.

Both the batters looked mostly untroubled against the good Pakistan bowling unit and were set for a big partnership in the innings. However, they were able to add only 22 runs for the second wicket as Colin Ackermann threw away his wicket while playing a poor shot.

The part-timer Iftikhar Ahmed came to bowl in the 12th over and on his very first delivery, he sent the Netherlands No.3 packing. Looking at the spin bowler, Ackermann premeditated the sweep and Iftikhar fired a full ball on the middle stump that beat the bat and pads and crashed into the stumps to reduce the Dutch to 50/2.

Colin Ackermann was back in the hut after scoring 17 runs off 21 balls, with 3 fours and Bas de Leede walked out to join the opening batsman Vikramjit in the middle.
